Wrongly accused of witchcraft, pretty young Aed escapes death at the stake and drowning. Latent magic is aroused in her. A series of adventures takes her to Dragon's Mouth where she finds her sorceress mentor, Aitheda who might be immortal. Aitheda has an incredibly powerful magical sword called Gobansaor.
