African Warlord Politics And Mercanaries

Shows that rulers of weak states find unexpected autonomy to fashion novel solutions to serious internal security threats with resources that the post-Cold War international political economy provides, and further shows how post-apartheid changes in SA support new firms that are adept at doing business in difficult places (e.g. Angola, Sierra Leone).
