Reflects the Committee's collective judgment concerning agricultural issues that arise from increasing concentration among processing & marketing firms which buy farm products -- livestock, poultry & meat. Also concerns issues associated with mergers & consolidations in the rail industry. Suggests policy directions that are respectful of the diverse public views & are useful in moving toward a satisfactory resolution of the many issues associated with concentration in the agricultural economy. Includes several minority reports.
