In the first chapter possible drivers for the transition to renewable energies will be presented. The processes behind these driving forces shall also be discussed. The second part offers case studies on The Philippines, Kenya and Brazil, which have been particularly successful in the transition to renewable energy. This paper aims to thereby identifying what has made these developing countries so successful in their transition.
