This book presents information on two major federal loan programs: the Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) program and the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program (FDLP). It is designed to provide information on borrower and lender activity, presenting factual and statistical data on the various FFEL program and FDLP loan components that include: (1) Stafford Subsidized; (2) Stafford Unsubsidized; (3) Parent Loans for Undergraduate Students (PLUS); and (4) the Consolidation Loan Program.
