This new book is designed to facilitate the comparison between normal and abnormal anatomy, both on the surface and (by the use of radiologic imaging) within the body. GENERAL SURGICAL ANATOMY AND EXAMINATION explores the common problems that a surgeon may encounter and detect not only by radiologic imaging, but also by seeing, hearing, and feeling. Using a series of color photographs and radiologic images (many with interpretive line drawings and overlays to show normal and abnormal instances), the book illustrates how anatomy, clinical history, and examination can be used to point at the diagnosis in patients with surgical conditions. The text is short yet comprehensive and is closely linked to the visual presentation of the surgical disease.
