Economic geographers and related professionals offer their perspectives on the dynamics of change that shape the economy, examining the transformation of the modern economy into one in which knowledge is the most important resource, and learning the most important process for economic growth. They introduce the paradigm of learning region--a complex of policy, collaboration, and research--and demonstrate its application in case studies from Germany, Holland, and Belgium.
