Learning Cuban Spanish

This book is intended for beginners who wish to learn Latin American Spanish as it is spoken in Cuba. While this book could be very useful to tourists, it is not a tourist guidebook and does not contain pictures, tourist information or specific information about places for tourists like hotels, restaurants, etc. It also does not contain exercises or sound files. This new version of our book contains more example sentences and phrases, as well as cultural notes in English and Spanish written by Marelene. The cultural notes are called "Seg�n Marlene" (according to Marlene) and include her original Spanish text and then an approximate English translation, written by Dave.Topics of this book include: rules of pronunciation and stress, greetings, important phrases, asking for help or directions, places in town and means of transport, describing people, friends, family, jobs and professions, clothes, colors, food and drinks, days, months, seasons, numbers, telling age, telling time, countries, cities, languages, activities, shopping, trying on clothes, sports, weather, animals, nature, adjectives of physical description and of conditions or emotions, cultural notes written by a native of Havana, Cuba, and basic grammar which excludes intermediate or advanced grammar topics such as reflexive verbs or the subjunctive mood.
