Level 5 On The Road

The Act is in seven parts and extends to England and Wales only. Provisions relate to: the creation of an uniformed on-road traffic officer service to manage random incidents such as accidents, obstructions, debris and breakdowns, as well as programmed highway events such as the passage of abnormal loads; network management by local traffic authorities; permit schemes; street works; highways and roads; and civil enforcement of traffic contraventions.
