Multi Code Cdma For Broadband Cellular Communication Network

This paper presents an overview of the Multi-Code CDMA (MC-CDMA) for cellular communication network. We briefly review the theoretical background for MC-CDMA and discuss its different types (Multi-code multi-rate-CDMA and variable spreading factor multirate scheme) with their advantages and disadvantages. Throughput is defined as the expected value of the total number of successful transmitted packets/slots. The channel capacities of Multi-code multi-rate CDMA (MC-MR-CDMA) system of different packet sizes are calculated in terms of throughput. The main characteristics of MC-MR-CDMA system are also discussed.
