"Cultural Journeys: Multicultural Literature for Children and Young Adults provides a mechanism for teachers, from preservice to veteran, to develop an understanding of multicultural literature and the criteria for evaluating it, as well as guidelines for teaching multicultural literature throughout the entire curriculum and not just during designated months or time periods. It promotes multicultural education in schools and provides teaching strategies and resources to benefit all students.
