My Life As Skippy

"My Life as Skippy" came about after some quick bonding moments between Patti, the Mama and Skippy. Skippy was adopted in 2009 as company for Patti's mom, also known as Nana to Skippy, while Patti was working. Patti was the caregiver for her mom, and Skippy brought Nana much comfort and was great company. It was while watching Skippy interact with her and her mom that Patti thought about Skippy's life from his perspective. She figured that Skippy had a sense of humor, so she wrote the book with humor at every turn. It's a light-hearted look at a cat who got adopted after a four-month stay at a shelter. After a short time with Patti and her mom, Skippy became king of the household! Skippy and Patti also encountered heartache along the way, and this book shows how they bonded even more to help each other through some difficult times.
