Regional Planning Guidance For The East Midlands To 2021

This guidance document presents the spatial planning strategy for the East Midlands region up to 2021. This strategy sets out proposals for the sustainable development of the region's economy, infrastructure, housing and other land uses. It covers the counties of Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire, and includes the unitary authorities of Derby, Leicester, Nottingham and Rutland, as well as the whole of the Peak District National Park area. This guidance must be taken into account by local planning authorities in preparing their development plans. It draws on national planning guidance document PPG11, and seeks to provide a regional interpretation of national policy.
