Feeding our body and our Spirit is a must for all the seasons of life, no matter our age or status. God expects ALL of His children to nourish our spirit and soul. Only the individual can do this.... We have to 'feed ourselves' on purpose. The past twenty years, God and His Holy Spirit, has used these Scriptures portions to comfort soothe, and replenished me during a time of sorrow, testing and trials and even the questions I have had at times during this special journey. These words of comfort have brought healing, and have been the guard at the door of my mind and thoughts and have kept the intruder (Satan) out. The Word of God is like a pillow that we can find warm and inviting, reliable, comforting, filled with promises, that will bring great assurances that we can rely on in whatever the season of our life. I am sharing some of these precious verses with you from my 'Basket of Blessings'. I pray that these nourishing Scriptures will help you feel comforted, your joy restored and your strength rekindled by our Lord the Great Physician.
