While married to a diplomat, stationed in South Africa, a nurse, Alexia Brown's world was shattered by her husbands' violent physical and mental abuse. She returns to Florida, divorces Roland and desperate for love; but afraid, she resists the affections from Dr. Grogan. A Series of bizarre events exposed a grizzly plan; her ex-husband Roland now stationed in Rome has been stalking her via computer. He has hired someone to kill her. The murder attempt takes place in the hospital and fails. Roland is arrested and convicted. Alexia's friendship with Dr. Grogan turns to romance, and the story has a happy ending.
