The walks are themed for added interest - nature/woodland, rural, urban/architecture, spectacular scenery, historic, wilderness, famous footsteps, industrial heritage, parkland and mystery/ancient. They are divided geographically into eight regions, each with between 78-180 walks. The walks are all between two and ten miles in length and include directions, clear route instructions, timings, distances, locations of parking and refreshments. The walks are graded for steepness: 1-3 to suit all abilities.
