The Experience Of Healing In The Bonny Method Of Guided Imagery And Music

Research and clinical reports have shown the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music (GIM) to effectively facilitate healing and change in a wide range of clients, including people with medical illnesses, psychiatric problems, abuse issues, and spiritual concerns. Though it is widely accepted among GIM practitioners and clients that GIM heals, no one has yet defined what is meant by healing or explained exactly how healing occurs. The questions that guided this study were as follows: What is the traveler's experience of healing in GIM? How is the experience of healing similar or different across travelers? What is the traveler's experience of the healing process in GIM? How is the healing process in GIM similar or different across travelers?
