A biography and a history of Ely Samuel Parker or Ha-sa-no-an-da, a Seneca Indian of pure lineage, born in 1828 near Indian Falls, town of Pembroke, Genesee County, New York. His father was Jo-no-es-sto-wa, Dragon Fly, otherwise known as William Parker, a Tonawanda Seneca Chief, and Elizabeth. Ely married 17 Dec 1867 Minnie Sackett in Washington, D.C. He died in 1895.
