Weathering The Storm, Surviving The Loss of A Loved one is not meant to replace professional counseling, but to give accurate information that will help assist adults and children during their grieving process. To help them to have hope and to know that they will survive this storm in their life and the sun will shine again. Almost everyone will face the loss of a loved one at least once in his or her lifetime. How we deal with and accept that loss will determine how long we are in the grieving or mourning process. This book is meant to help with understanding and hopefully shorten the length of time someone has to suffer the pain of grief. There is no time limit to how long a person will go through the grieving process. For someone to tell a person going through mourning, that after a month they should be over it, is absolutely ludicrous and cruel. No one has the right to tell a person how they should feel or to basically shut off their feelings. This happens all too often and hopefully the family and or friends of the person grieving, will read this book too. This is a life changing experience and though we feel hopeless and lost, there is a light shining behind the grey clouds of grief. As a person comes to understand their feelings and work through the healing process, they notice that the days don't seem so bleak and there is still happiness to be found.
