In West Virginia it is the Department of Agriculture, Executive Division that administers auctioneer licensing. Examinations for auctioneers and apprentice auctioneers are given in April and October each year. Applicants must be 18 years of age. Focus of the exam is on rules set forth in WV Code §19-2C-1.
