Williamsburg Virginia

Commissioned by the city of Williamsburg, Virginia for the occasion of its 300th anniversary celebration, this collection of 23 articles draws a picture of the history of Williamsburg from prehistoric times to the present. Although a couple of articles touch upon the lives of Native Americans, African slaves, and others, the majority of the material is the predictable celebration of Williamsburg's prominent citizens; architecture; and governmental, religious, and academic institutions.
