Advanced Technology Assessment System Atas Bulletin Issue Xi

Abstract: The 11th issue of the Bulletin, "New approaches to science and technology cooperation and capacity building", provides an introduction to different innovative approaches to technology cooperation. Focusing on both public and private sectors, it emphasizes the interaction between different economic sectors in the capacity-building process. The publication, which contains 23 articles, covers examples of programmes and cases in developing countries, countries in transition and developed countries, addressing government policy makers and cooperation agencies and the private sector. The objective of this compilation of studies is to submit concise, integrated, practical information that is focused on new, emerging trends in science and technology cooperation, in order to provide useful insights to these major target groups. In doing so, ATAS strives to stimulate cooperation and networking of different economic actors at the international, regional and national levels. [English only].
