Chronicling Cultures

Several attempts were made to update a 1979 collection of reports on studying a culture over a long span, but not until now have all the elements come together for success. The 12 resulting essays are mostly by anthropologists who have spent decades in the field, but a few reflect the views of young researchers who are taking over studies from their elders.
