Kerosene And Candles

1907 Hannah Declan arrives in Sydney at a time when bullock trains carry supplies between towns, and lamplighters and street sweepers are a common sight. When Hannah meets a young soldier, Tom Fields, their love blossoms in spite of the distance created by war. Kerosene and Candles transports the reader from the trenches of Turkey and France to the remote outback of New South Wales. As the Great War spreads across Europe, Hannah is confronted by a changing society where her morals and beliefs are seriously challenged.
