The Rise & Shine SOL Prep Reading Comprehension workbooks provide hours of practice that will give your students the skills and confidence they'll need to face Virginia's Standards of Learning exams. Each question is aligned to the Virginia standards for reading. The passages have been designed to match the format and content that students can expect to see on Virginia's assessment tests. Each of our grades 2-8 titles also offers a guided introductory section designed to help students learn strategies to succeed on assessment tests. A variety of grade-level-appropriate fiction, nonfiction, and poetry passages are each coupled with multiple-choice and open-ended questions. In grades 5-8, students will find some passages about Virginia, as well as general interest passages.
