Emphasis has been made on the prominent cases depicting the competitiveness and conflict between the state and the people. It also tries to retrospect the reasons that prompted these conflicts and where do state failed. The book made an attempt to study both the past and contemporary socio-political movements of Northeast India, giving more importance to the contemporaries.
