Informs Jackson he received the [dollar sign] 100 from Mr. Robinson. Expresses disappointment with Jackson for refusing him money for supplies and asking him to call upon neighbors who are indebted to Knox. Writes, it would be time ill spent to call on the people for assistance - they say that when General [Henry] Knox is ready to fullfil [sic] his engagements with them, it will be time enough for them to make payment. Reports on the raising of Knox's house (future estate at Montpelier), progress of the Masons;, and the shortage of supplies, including the oxen.
